Bauchi, Nigeria - Agents for the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) and opposition People's Democratic Party (PDP) in Bauchi state have raised concerns after electoral materials were delivered late to a polling station in the state's capital. According to reports, the materials for the gubernatorial election scheduled to take place at the Dass ward polling station arrived more than four hours after the scheduled start of voting. Both APC and PDP agents have claimed that the delay could have an impact on the outcome of the election in the ward.

"This is unacceptable. How can voters exercise their civic duty if the materials arrive four hours late?" said Usman Ibrahim, an APC agent who was present at the polling station. "We demand answers from the electorial officials responsible for managing the logistics." Similarly, representatives of the PDP condemned the delay calling it a deliberate attempt to disenfranchise voters in the opposition stronghold of Dass ward. "We have reason to believe that this was a calculated move to sabotage the elections in Dass ward, which we know is a PDP stronghold, said Maryam Abdullahi, a PDP agent at the Dass ward. The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has not commented on the delay in delivering the electoral materials to the Dass ward polling station. In the meantime, the controversy surrounding the delayed arrival of electoral materials in the Dass ward is a reminder of the challenges faced by Nigeria's electoral system and the need for continued efforts to ensure fair and transparent elections.
