Thugs have reportedly attacked and destroyed polling units and carted away voting materials in some communities in Bayelsa State, Nigeria. According to reports, the thugs unleashed violence in the Ogbia Local Government Area of the state on election day, disrupting the electoral process and leaving voters and officials stranded. Eyewitnesses say the violent attacks were intended to intimidate voters and prevent them from casting their votes. Man Detained by Nigerian Police for Alleged Attempted Rape of Neighbour’s Pregnant Wife

A 26-year-old man, identified as Usman Bube, has been arrested for allegedly attempting to rape his pregnant neighbour’s wife in the Ogatalo Fulani Camp in the Imala area of Ogun State. Nigerian Police said that the suspect allegedly broke into his neighbour’s apartment at about 12.45pm on Thursday to commit the crime. PDP Wins 13, APC Wins 9 Seats in Edo State House of Assembly Election

In the just-concluded Edo State House of Assembly election on Saturday, the People's Democratic Party (PDP) won thirteen seats while the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) won nine seats.
